Founders

Jeannie O'Meara-Polich, Board Member of The Magnolia Theater, has dreamed of starting a theater her whole life.

She has directed and produced such plays as:
Aladdin Jr., Cinderella, Charlotte's Web, Annie, Oklahoma!, Mulan, The Wind in the Willows, The Grinch, No Room at the Inn, The Littlest Angel, The Innkeeper's Wife, The Nutcracker, Peter Pan, The Wizard of Oz, Beauty and the Beast, Music Man, Bye-Bye Birdie, A Christmas Carol, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Fiddler on the Roof, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, A Streetcar Named Desire, Death of a Salesman, The Tempest, Alice in Wonderland.

She comes to the theater with a Master of Fine Arts in Directing from the University of Minnesota, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame, professional training in flute, voice, conducting, piano and 25 years of teaching music and drama to kindergarten- through college-age students.

Jane TRAPOLIN Oaksmith, was born in New Orleans. She earned a Bachelor of Science from Loyola University in New Orleans, and a minor in Anatomy and Physiology. She has studied ballet, jazz, and choreography. Jane also taught aerobic dance to all ages in the Magnolia community. Her extensive list of choreography includes such shows as Aladdin Jr., Cinderella, Charlotte's Web, Annie, Oklahoma!, Mulan, The Wind in the Willows, The Grinch, No Room at the Inn, The Littlest Angel, The Innkeeper's Wife, The Nutcracker, Music Man, Annie, Bye-Bye Birdie, A Christmas Carol, Fiddler on the Roof, The Lion King and The Little Mermaid.
